Mr Sean Thomas Walker Press is the Managing Director and owner of Contact Media and Communications. Sean has been in Sales and Marketing in the media sector for seven years and  has launched and developed several brands as well as managed sales teams in excess of 65 people. His understanding of the media industry, and entrepreneurial flair have assisted him in creating a respected name within the media industry, whilst his integrity, professionalism, conduct and relationship management are exceptional.  Sean is responsible for the day to day management of the company, including all sales, cashflow management, design direction, marketing and human capital management.  In the past 7 years he has launched over 15 titles. Sean believes in leading by example so he is and will always be involved with the sales of the company in order to ensure company targets are being met, whilst assisting and developing colleagues and staff members to achieve their goals and in turn the company goals.

Lesley Fox is the General Manager of the company.  Lesley matriculated in South Africa and continued her studies to complete her Business Management Diploma in London in 1986/7.  During this time Lesley also attained her London Chamber of Commerce certificate in Public Relations.  She then lived in London for a further 6 years where she worked in the West End for an investment brokerage where she assisted in launching a product called Olympic Gold, which was targeting sports personalities and other British celebrities needing to maximize investments, often during short careers.   She brings vast experience and authority to the company.  She has worked within the Media industry for 14 years and handles the entire back end of the office function, including accounts, invoicing, collection of monies, distribution and Human Resources.

Donna Verrydt – Head of Contents – It is with great pride that we welcomed Donna to our staff compliment as a full time employee from February 2010.  Donna was the Editor on Gtribe edition one and two as a subcontractor and her passion and contagious energy soon made it essential for her to join our team.  Donna has an impressive Resume including FHM and Heat Magazines.  Donna now looks after all content in the company which includes web, digital, mobi as well as print and liaise between all departments as well as being the Editor of GTRIBE.  Very very busy lady.

Quinten Tolken – Head of Design – Quinten is our newest member to the team and he was head hunted from a design studio.  He has wonderful talent and knowledge and is a fine investment to the company.

Venesia Fourie – Head of Production and Creative - All production is handled in-house and the design work is shared between Venesia and Quinten.  Venesia is a graduate from Greenside Design Centre and oversees the entire department.   Venesia is being groomed for position of publisher.

Angus McEwan (Sales Executive; Wits Business School Journal) has deep roots in the corporate environment having spent the first 6 years of his working life as a reinsurance broker in London. This experience led him to 10 years as reinsurance broker for the Alexander Forbes Group. His broad knowledge of business coupled with years of negotiating sales makes him a huge asset in the highly competitive media environment, as Contact Media seeks to deepen its penetration and broaden its services in the market place. With a good understanding of corporate economics Angus is able to drive the Wits Business Journal from strength to strength

Damian Murphy – Project Manager -  The WBS Journal - Prior to getting into publishing, Damian Murphy was a mathematics teacher at senior high school level. He developed an interest in Media and as his experience grew in the industry, a passion for marketing was apparent.  Damian has worked under Sean Press’s tutelage for two and a half years on projects such as Strokesaver, The Gary Player Golfer’s Guide and ultimately the Wits Business School Journal.  He continues to grow from strength to strength and shows a promising future as a strong member of a successful sales team.

Bokang Seritsane – Project Manager - The Afropolitan - Bokang is a young vibrant future focused gentleman with incredibly high ambitions, currently studying a B Compt Accounting Science degree with UNISA.  Since entering this industry a year ago, it certainly has been a great learning curve for him where he has been able to hone and learn invaluable skills and knowledge, regardless of the experience he had gained in the sales industry whilst working for Protea Hotels. The knowledge he has gained, has been a result of sheer determination and the flair he has for media.  During this time he has gained a wider perspective and understanding of various sectors of business, allowing him the pedestal to be a well groomed and rounded business individual with the necessary tool box to achieve success in the media industry.

Jaime van Sittert – Sales Cape Town. Jaime has been in Media Sales game for over 5 years.  She has a spirit and tenacity like no other.  She heads up her office in Cape Town.

Elka Schaimberg – Editor Elka is the Editor on Jozi Beat and our Lifestyle Editor on all other titles.  She recently moved up from Cape Town where she was a freelance writer.  Elka also writes all our content for our websites, sends out our Press Release and is a wonderfully friendly liaison between our strategic partners and ourselves.

Sales Team - A dedicated sales team headed up by the project managers and driven by the MD ensures sales are achieved.  The sales team knows that any help needed is given, as Contact Media firmly believes in an open door policy.  Training is frequent and on going to guarantee maximum productivity from the team.
